<image:caption>Using consultation survey results and parent input from a consultation meeting, I design curricular plans for students (ages 6-16) in subjects focused on literacy. These services include: Enrichment or advanced opportunities that develop your student’s interests and talents in Reading, Writing, and Creative/Critical Thinking Instruction in compensating for the disability including Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, or Disorders in expressive/receptive language Sessions to target specific functional challenges in Reading (Decoding, Fluency, Vocabulary, Comprehension), Spelling, Writing, and Study Skills Throughout the one-on-one tutoring process, I partner with the parents and the child’s teacher to set strategies for success. These include: Research-based learning strategies for 2e kids Regular communication with parent and teacher to follow-up with tutoring progress Strategies for home study follow-up</image:caption>

      <image:title>Parent Consultations - Parent Consultations</image:title>
<image:caption>Supportive parents and family play an important role in advocating for their children and adolescents with talent and specific disabilities. Parents need to know that their children can achieve, often in a context outside the school setting. When it comes to providing help, I begin with a Parent Consultation (with or without their child, parent’s preference) to discuss evidence of strengths and areas of struggle both in and out of school. Parents’ confidential responses to a 2e survey provide the basis for the initial meeting. Using this survey, the consultations include a review of: → Educational-psychological testing data → School year report cards → Consultation survey results → Parent interview and feedback → And more, based on the child’s needs</image:caption>

<image:caption>Learning isn’t meant to fit in a box – especially when it comes to twice-exceptional kids. I’ve spent my 40+ year career learning, leading, and now designing the “classroom outside the classroom” that fits each student. I understand that children have diverse learning patterns, and success comes from recognizing the differences and the preferences, and adapting to them. I can help you and your child do just that.</image:caption>
